n the days of sail, orders aboard ship were piped on the Bosun's Call, whose high-pitched whistle could be heard against the strongest wind. The Regulation Call (ref 2101), still made for the world's navies, is made of brass and copper with hard-wearing electro-plated nickel finish (beware of cheap imitations!).
The presentation and trophy versions (2131, 2121 and 2111) are gold or silver-plated, or simply polished brass and copper, and suitably engraved. All Calls are 4" long, with matching 50" neckchain fitted with a swivel snap-hook. They are supplied in a presentation box, instruction leaflet and history.
